I wonder if North Carolina is blaming the ocean for the loss of beach when, in actuality, the problem is grandmothers hauling sacks of sand away to New England for their grandchildren. OOPS!!!
But the grandchildren enjoy it SOOOOOOO much - that must make the sand feel so much more happy and fulfilled than if it was just sitting there, all bored and walked on, on Cape Hatteras... And really, isn't that what it's all about? : ) love, Jess
